Resolute Promise South Tahoma Glacier Survey!
Help support the next expedition! Read more below.
This past August 2026, Resolute Promise return to Mount Rainier to continue efforts to document the crash site of the Marine RC5. The goal is to determine if it is possible to recover those lost on the South Tahoma Glacier in 1946 and return them to their loved ones. The team spent several days in the backcountry observing the glacier, its movement, and documented what was found.
The report of findings will be viewable soon. Visit the Supported Causes page for updates.
