Our Next Mission

On December 10, 1946, a R5C Curtis Commando aircraft carrying 32 military personnel crashed into the South Tahoma Glacier on Mount Rainier. These brave souls were serving our country, and for decades, their remains have been lost to the treacherous terrain. Resolute Promise is committed to changing that. Resolute Promise’s mission is to locate, recover, and bring home those Missing-In-Action (MIA), and they need your support.

Forensic anthropologist Dr. William Belcher, has been conducting expeditions to the glacier, gathering critical information and searching for wreckage that could lead to recovering the remains of these fallen heroes. The extreme conditions, shifting glacier, and dangerous landscape have made this mission incredibly difficult. But with modern technology, perseverance, and your help, they believe they can finally bring closure to the families who have waited over 75 years.

“Recovering and returning the remains of those lost in service to their country is our goal. Our commitment is to do so while maintaining and elevating scientific, safety, and ethical standards.”

— Jennifer Powers, founder of Resolute Promise

Honor Their Memory

Make a Difference

Your donation helps Resolute Promise fund further research and expeditions, allowing them to continue using state-of-the-art technologies, satellite imagery, and fieldwork to solve this long-standing mystery. This effort is not only about recovery—it's about honor, remembrance, and healing.

The mission at Resolute Promise is about more than just finding lost wreckage—it’s about giving them back their name and recovering the unrecoverable. These individuals made the ultimate sacrifice, and now it’s our duty to bring them home.

As climate change accelerates the glacier's movement, the window to recover these remains is closing. Each expedition is more vital than ever. Your support can help Resolute Promise work to bring home those who gave the last full measure of devotion, giving their families long-awaited peace.
